Rock Band 2 Australia release date?

Now, I know that retail release dates are nearly always bullshit, but I can't help but notice that the CD-WOW site has marked the release date for Rock Band 2 as January 30th?

Has anyone else heard this from other sources?

CD WOW does imports so that might not be the AUS version. I haven't heard an AUS release date.

I dont think it's correct.. I haven't received any emails from EA about it and there isn't much else mentioned on any other gaming site for it.

You can just grab a 360 PAL copy from the U.K. It's been out there for a couple of months now.

360. Yeah, I know it's out in the UK, but I just didn't want to have to pay like, $110+ or so to get it from the UK, only to find out that if I'd waited another month, I could've picked it up for $78 at Big W

quit holding your breath Sarge, RB2 will come out for the Australian version of the Xbox 3rd, at this rate.

I hate you EA. That's right, I hate that you make me search Ebay and Play Asia with a weak Australian dollar. MoFos.

I would assume whomever is the distributing party. See at work we are the Australian distributers for alot of software, if we took our sweet ass time getting it store ready, then Australia would have it later then the rest of the world. But we don't develop it. So yeah, whomever is the distributer (i haven't looked haha).

It's EA, buddy. They're responsible for shipping out the products. Apparently Australia isn't important.

I'd love to hop onto the Rock Band bandwagon, but because of this whole year-later release thing, I've defected to GH.

Apparently the reason we got it late was because of licensing issues, which I think is ridiculous. I mean, feasibly, wouldn't you try to get all the licenses for all major regions first, instead of focusing on America, then Europe, and THEN Australia?

I've decided that if haven't heard anything by April, or have the game out, I'm importing. RB1 will be for DLC.

yeah, im thinking I should of got it when the dollar was good.. Oh well, at work it says the release date for Rock Band 2 is th 31/12/09.. which I doubt that would be the case.. I'll place a bet that we will get rock band 2 when rock band 3 comes out in the states (or most likely when the Beatles "rock band" game comes out... bastards!!!
