Gamerthon 2008 - Conclusion

Starks gives delivers in-depth coverage of the Gamerthon 2008 event held in Melbourne

Introduction | The Final Stats | Interview with Michael Corona | Conclusion
Gamerthon 2008 was a huge success for me. It brought about a collaborative effort from the community, for the community. The true test will be how they can address 2009, however after this year’s showing I’m buoyed by the success the Anything Interactive team have had.

As usual, I’ll most definitely be there to help cover the event, and I look forward to the possibility of seeing Korean professional teams not only add an international flavour to the competition, but bring Australian e-Sports out into the global limelight it deserves.

I met a great deal of people, and would like to shout out to everyone at Gamerthon that helped me to have not only a great week, but one that gave me an insight into the potential that exists within Australia for professional gaming.

Finally, I have another 5 or so interviews from the community that will be posted at intervals over the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy them.

Rock on!
