Pre-order bonus announced for GTA IV; as if further incentive needed

News from Phil - March 19th @ 7:06pm

Pre-ordering is the flavour of the generation, with almost every retailer on the planet offering some sort of bonus package in order to net your five or ten bucks as soon as possible. Naturally, the biggest release of the year is coming with no shortage of bonus goodies, and the affable, law-abiding fans of the GTA series couldn't be more chuffed.

Inside your GTA IV pre-order box, you'll find a download code. This itty bitty piece of text translates into four exclusive GTA Gamerpics, and a bonus 500 Microsoft Points, which can be used to download a whole bunch of other content from Xbox Live. It's an honest deal, really - you'll already be receiving a bunch of extra stuff if purchasing the ultra-mega hyper flux capacitor edition, so a bit more downloadble swag will surely be a somewhat enjoyable way to spend two minutes.

The press release negated to mention specifically which "pre-order boxes" will come bundled with a download code, and the offer will be subject to availability at at participating retailers. That's OK. No one buys games from Retravision anyway.
