SupaNova Brisbane this weekend
News from Yug - April 4th @ 2:57am
For those not in the know,
SupaNova is on this weekend in Brisbane. This is of particular interest to me because, unlike the ones in the other states, I'm actually going to this one. Not only am I going, but Matt and I are going to be chairing a few panels with some local developers and talented people from the universities about how to get into the games industry. They're on in the early mornings of the show, around 10 / 11am on both Saturday and Sunday - be sure to come say hi.
Apart from that there will be all the usual SupaNova
shenanigans. Of note is the fact
QLD Games will be there, with all the local developers showing off their stuff (I have it on good authority there will even be some exclusive trailers shown here of un-announced games). They're running some excellent competitions where you can enter your artwork and get the chance to be tutored by game artists who work at the game developers themselves.
Other than that, I'm hanging out to see Michael Winslow after Liam gave him such a
good write-up.
Also of note is the small party I'm having in between the days, open to any AustralianGamer readers as per usual, details below.
