Lego Indy Demo

News from Matt - May 15th @ 10:33am

Lego Star Wars was possibly the stupidest idea for a game I ever heard. It smacked of the kind of "if two things are good they must be good together" that made me put Strawberry Quik and Vegemite on toast when I was a kid. However bad you think it sounds it tasted far worse. Unlike the Quikgemite experiment, Lego Star Wars was made of solid gold plated awesome, managing to combine loving parody with a rock solid gaming experience and a surprisingly playable co-op that's probably going to stay for some time the most fun you can have playing video games with an 8 year old.

But we're not talking about Lego Star Wars. We're talking about Lego Indiana Jones. I can't wait to get this game. I'll buy it for the PS3 because it will give my son and I something new to play, though I'm not sure how "aware" he is of the Indy thing, by comparison to the Star Wars phenomonon. Long story short, if you want a sneak peak of your console version of choice (and personally I really think this type of game is a console game) the PC Demo is currently available to download.

I'll be downloading it tonight. I might as well see how well my new XPS 1530 handles games that aren't World of Warcraft.
