BtVS Sacrificing itself for that pesky hellmouth
News from Jae - July 14th @ 12:04am
Forget Gears of War 2, Resistance 2 and Rock Band 2. Sequels aren't that fashionable this holiday season. The result of combining a 7 year long pop culture television program with a 1st and 3rd person point of view game is my idea of a killer app. We all know that here at Australian Gamer we don't ever score games but the upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sacrifice for the Nintendo DS gets an automatic 100% from me.
Beast, the developers behind this title, and Rob Deshotel, a not-so-famous writer from the series, team up to create the all original DS game. You will come across all the great characters from the Buffy series including Spike and Angel. The story is set after the end of the television series, which I find weird as they talk about characters such as the Master and Caleb (both of whom are dead) having starring roles. I can hear flashbacks calling in this 24 level tiered game.
It's going to be stake-ingly hard to top the blood sucking selling Chaos Bleeds title from the last generation but I'm sure they can do a demon of a job.
Game is due for a November release this year. I can't wait to get my slayer kit on.
