GenConOz this weekend!
News from Yug - July 3rd @ 2:14am
This weekend hosts another gaming (among other things) expo in Australia, this one hosted in Matt and my very back yard - Brisbane. GenConOz will be running from this Thursday the 3rd to Sunday the 6th, with an obvious focus on table top gaming as well as some video game elements thrown in for good measure. If you're attending, be sure to visit the AustralianGamer.com booth - complete with shitty TV, bean bags, junk food, SNES and MegaDrive; and also don't miss our live podcast with Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation on the Saturday.

We were actually at the convention centre tonight setting up, and while it seems like it should be a pretty good expo all round, there is a distinct lack of actual 'video games' there. There's
QANTM College showcasing their wares,
Queensland Games representing the local developers,
Krome Studios showcasing their upcoming games
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Hellboy 2, and
GameTraders with a bunch of plasmas and Guitar Hero.
No doubt the most talked about event of the show isn't actually at the show, but is held after it. The
3rd Official Brisbane Gamers Meetup will be held, once again, at my place :)

On top of what you read in that flyer, we will also be giving away some sweet merch at the event, including 50 Grand Theft Auto IV collectible plastic cups, and 50 Guitar Hero T-Shirts.

So if you're in Brisbane, you really have no excuse NOT to catch up with us this weekend. Either way, I hope to see some of you guys soon!
