48hr Challenge Good Morning
News from Simon - Saturday, 04 October 2008 @ 11:23am
Here I am for my first shift at the 2008 48hr Game Making Challenge, I’ve only been here 3 hours and already seen rampant viruses, power failures, team bickering, a single lonely coder in a dark room and thousands of empty energy drink cans.
Fatigue is starting to kick in, many having slept a total of 0 hours. People are sleeping under desks amongst power cables and in the designated ‘sleeping hole’. Surprisingly little man fume fills the air, the familiar dude musk mysteriously absent, god bless air con!
The games are starting to take shape and most teams have a playable decent looking build. The general team morale is a little low, the strain of the all nighter hitting hard. I am sure their second wind will kick in soon, as they get into a state of euphoric madness from sleep deprivation. I am planning on staying till the end too, so hopefully my updates will reflect this!

Stay tuned!
Also, our camera man Mik has been achieving things on his own. Sadly he wasn't linked to the internet for this, so we will indulge him.
