Calling all poor Sydney kids

News from Jae - December 1st @ 6:44pm

Tis the season to be charitable. That we are, here at AG we're planning on donating to the community. Last week I gave stupid amounts of pocket change towards Movember and this week I'm trying my best not to trip over the bums on the street. Other companies have more efficient ways of being charitable. Take 2K Australia and the retailer GAME for example.

2K and GAME have put their Santa hats on early this month and will be giving away 5 special packs to selected Sydney Variety locations.

Christmas is just around the corner and to help make it a special one, 2K & GAME Stores have partnered together with Variety - the children's charity - to reward some of Sydney's most deserving children.

Over the next two weeks, we'll be delivering special Christmas gift packs to five special Variety locations. Each pack includes consoles like XBOX 360 and Nintendo Wii consoles and 2K game packs including, Dora The Explorer: Dora Saves The Mermaids, Go Diego Go! Safari Rescue, Top Spin 3, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, NBA 2K9, Carnival Games and Carnival Games: Mini Golf.

It's at this time of year that people often forget about those who aren't necessarily going to have a great Christmas, so we'd encourage you all to do your bit and help charity out!

The great support 2K and GAME have shown for the community have driven me to think harder on some charitable work here at AustralianGamer. I just need to think of a product or service I currently offer that people can pay for so that I can donate 5% of the proceeds to charity. Anyone need a games reviewer/personal trainer/bank working kind of guy?
