IRC is soooo 1990! #AustralianGamer now on AustNet
News from AJ - Thursday, 25 June 2009 @ 9:27am
A few old bastards here have asked about getting an IRC channel going, for those who miss the old shoutbox. Well, weI've gone and done it. I will be idling on AustNet holding the door open to #AustralianGamer for anyone who wants to drop by! By all means drop in and say hi, just don't expect a response :P Big thanks to Coz for getting the channel unbanned and re-registered and generally reminding me how stuff works!

I've submitted like 20 questions, will do more when i get bored and when i can be bothered
I'm trying to break down the questions this way:
A small amount are about really old games (< 1985)
Most are about semi-modern games (85-2000)
And the rest are, obviously, about modern games.
I'm going to through a few related ones in there, like things to do with gaming personalities, events, designers and the like.
I'm NOT merely using games that I personally have knowledge of, obviously, I'm going back over games of any significance, cult hits, smash hits, that sort of thing.
Most of the information comes from places like mobygames, readme files with games, wikipedia, the few books I have on the history of notable gaming companies, and strategy guides for old games.
As for difficulty, I'm keeping them mostly in the medium category, but with a few simpler ones and a few that nobody will ever be able to get.
Deus Ex 1 that is.
Too bad it never had a sequel.
That is all.
This. Very this.
That's fine as long as 70% of the questions and answers are related to the original GTA, the monkey island series, and halflife (and half life related games such as TF2).
And the other 30% better be Deus Ex questions.
That is all.
