Introducing The New South Australian Attorney-General

Premier Mike Rann has announced who is taking over the South Australian Attorney-General position after Michael Atkinson stepped down over the weekend

The announcement was made via the twitter account of Mike Rann that John Rau is now the Attorney-General of South Australia

New Ministers. John Rau(Attny Gen Justice Tourism). Jack Snelling(Emp, Training, Further Ed, Science,Info Economy, Veterans, Road Safety)

John Rau's current stance on the R18+ issue is not currently known, however from what i can gather he does seem to support an R18 classification as he brought up the issue back in 2008 to Michael Atkinson.

My question is to the Attorney-General. Can the Attorney-General inform the house whether he will support moves to introduce an R rating classification for computer games sold in Australia, or will games that are unsuitable for minors continue to be refused classification?

The topic is due to be discussed by the government in April.



UPDATE: Luke - According to Chris Prior from Gamers4Croydon, John Rau is a support of R18+
