Hail To The King Baby - Duke Nukem Forever Returns
News from Luke - Saturday, 04 September 2010 @ 3:25am
First announced back in 1997, Duke Nukem Forever has long been considered one of video gaming's biggest running jokes – a pixelated myth. Riddled with delays and cursed with fickle publishers, 3D Realms started developing DNF on the Quake II engine; with the game changing engines numerous times since.
In 2009 3D Realms axed the DNF staff due financial difficulties. In response the publisher, Take-Two Interactive, filed a lawsuit for not being able to complete the game. The two later settled outside of court and things have since been quiet on the Duke front... until recently.
Rumours started flying around that Gearbox Software had taken to finishing the project, with CEO Randy Pitchford responding that they would not comment on the Duke rumours, but that something big would be revealed at PAX.
2 days ago one of the Duke Nukem creators, George Broussard, posted on Twitter a link to an image of flying pigs.... A reference to a comment he made many years ago when asked when DNF would be released, he stated “when pigs fly”.
Revealed today at PAX 2010, Gearbox Software - the creators of last years highly successful first person shooter Borderlands, have confirmed that you should always bet on Duke.

Duke Nukem Forever is playable at PAX, with trailers and gameplay videos to be online shortly. According to Randy Pitchford, the game is currently in polishing stages with a 2011 date set for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Probably, because those were both good games!
I agree, they were good games, but not great ones and I think that is what DNF will turn out to be.
So Luke'll like it then.
Probably, because those were both good games!
