Soul Calibur V is a GoGOLD and Tournament Announced

Namco Bandai have announced that Soul Calibur V has gone gold for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game takes place 17 years after SCIV and includes Ezio, from the Assassin's Creed franchise.

The tale of Patroklos, son of Sophitia Alexandra, unfolds as his family's destiny becomes entwined with the Soul swords. With improved character customization and new gameplay features including the Critical Edge and Quick Move systems plus the dangerous presence of master assassin Ezio Auditore de Firenze, SOULCALIBUR V is shaping up to be the essential fighting game of 2012.


A Collector's Edition will come with a special design box, a high quality art book, a soundtrack spanning the Soul Calibur franchise, the making-of-videos, a DLC card for Black and White Knight armour sets, original artwork and a letter signed by the development team on reproduced parchment paper. Pre-orders will come with a code to unlock Dampierre as a playable fighter from the get go.

Sydney will host the tournament through Gamespot and Ozhadou on 25th January 2012. More details can be found here.

Soul Calibur V is due out 2nd February 2012.
