Nintendo Wii First Impressions

Got a High Definition TV? Buy the component cables, its well worth it. After playing a week of Zelda on standard AV cables I was beginning to get annoyed with the blurriness and the unfocused look. After plugging in the component cables and setting the display to 480p both Zelda and everything else cleared up and made things look a whole lot clearer.. and shiny. So please, do your eyes and your TV a favour.
If you’re going to buy a second Wiimote pick up the Wiimote + Wii Play for an extra $10. It’s a fun and decent 2 player game plus it will help you get used to the Wiimote a lot quicker than any other game out there.
For the love of god buy Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, there’s a reason why the Wii is selling like hot cakes and it’s because of this game ladies and gentlemen. Check out my review as I talk about the 2nd greatest addition to the Zelda series.
From what I have experienced so far the Wii is defiantly a fun console. Playing the Wii for the first time will truly be a memorable experience for you, to make it even better make sure you have a few mates over ;)
The cost, the games and the uniqueness of the controller helps the Wii boldly stand out from the rest of the competition. What also surprises me is the amount of non gamers who are getting down and dirty with the Wii. It’s good to see Nintendo achieving their goals of having a pure fun console for all ages to enjoy.
I’m personally hanging out for some first party titles that are yet to be released especially some exclusive third party titles too. With 32,901 units sold within the Wii’s first four days of launch is defiantly a good sign.
