I didn't like it when Oracle's mic was off, UI had to pay attention for once
Matt had to record and export it this week as I'm out of town - hence a few naming issues and the file size being twice as large ... you still get a podcast this week though, quit complaining
Yeah I noticed that this show was upped to 44.1KHz, which produced a much cleaner sound. If you want to cut down on file sizes why not make the audio file mono instead of stereo? As far as I can tell you're not doing any stereo mixing on the show.
But yeah, fun show so far. I'm digging the weird constrast between Orcale and Phil's silliness and Matt's professionalism as they go from tangents to back on topic. It works pretty well.
David Cage responded to you saying that Heavy Rain looks just like QTE's, Matt.
"Bullshit!"
Wow, he's like a french David Jaffe.
Okay, the guy said that the game is hard to get across in the traditional sense. You're still in full control and its still completely up to you what you do, but the moves themselves are still context sensitive. Or at least thats what I got from it.
It basically comes down to "don't judge it tillk the controller's in your hand". You could say the guy is trying something so different that traditional previewing is logically impossible, but it also smadcks of making excuses.
remember Under A Killing Moon? That game was fucking awesome/shithouse
Of course I do. The futuristic noir style and Tex Murphy character really made the series work for me. I even downloaded the Tex Murphy radio plays.
Looking forward to the next one.
I believe Bigforge was the "Interactive Movie" game Matt was trying to think of.
I never considered this an interactive movie... But I didn't get very far into the game.
However a good example of a Interactive movie is Critical Path
