Take 2. They delayed it to a 2009 release from 2008, and yet we still haven't seen any gameplay, or in game cutscenes, or anything.

No it didn't. I don't know if you were actually around for DNF's lifespan as a vapourware title, but it was definitely deader than 3 years with just a CG trailer to go on.
Dude, it was hyperbole. Anyway, I think most of us were around for DNF's life as vaporware, what with us being gamers, and not being 3 months old.
The game was supposed to be out now, and we haven't even seen gameplay footage. Thats a major sign that something is wrong.
