Grand Theft Auto IV
Review from Simon - Thursday, 18 December 2008 @ 12:06am

Release: 3 December 2008
Developer: Rockstar North
Distributor: Rockstar
Simon gets his hands on GTA IV for the PC, as well as the new video editor, for this exclusive video review.
Grand Theft Auto IV for the PC is a game for kings, not just because it is of such high quality, so fantastically rounded and a true milestone in game development, but because it also requires a computer that only a king can afford to run it decently.

All the in game video content in this review was painstakingly captured and shot using the in game video editor, then compiled and cleaned up in Premiere. *PHEW*

Pros
Rich in story, content, visuals, playability and gameplay. Crazy awesome in game video editor. 32 player multiplayer!
Cons
Requires that super computer from Tron, keyboard controls not as precise as controller, can be a little buggy and frustrating at times and failing missions again and again can drive you crazy.
Summary
When the average computer tech catches up with GTA 4 for the PC this will be the best version easily, it really excites me to think that even a year from now when I upgrade my computer to a super beast I will be able to max this baby out. But as it stands I would recommend one of the console versions to the average gamer as they won't have to worry about system specs and endlessly tweaking draw distances. But hell, get it anyway! If you are like me the Video Editor is worth upgrading your PC over! Oh, did I mention there is a really amazing, deep and compelling game attached to all this too?
